EU Policy Associate, Access Now - Belgium

Lucie Krahulcova is an EU Policy Associate at Access Now; an international non-governmental organisation that defends the digital rights of users at risk around the world. At the Brussels office, she provides a human rights perspective on unfolding European legislation, working on issues that fall under the umbrella of the European Agenda on Security and the Digital Single Market. Her primary focus is on data retention, cybersecurity, surveillance and profiling, and Net Neutrality. To that end, she is coordinator for the Global Net Neutrality coalition. Krahulcova was previously language editor for the Central European Journal for International Security Studies, worked as an editor for the Peace and Progress UNU student journal, and was a trainee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. She holds a BA in International Relations and European Studies from the Metropolitan University of Prague, and is currently completing a joint MSc in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT, with a focus on Risk and Vulnerability Management.
