Melissa Hathaway is a leading expert in cyberspace policy and cybersecurity. Hathaway served as a cybersecurity advisor in administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama. As President of Hathaway Global Strategies LLC, she brings a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional perspective to strategic consulting and strategy formulation for public and private sector clients. In addition, Melissa serves as a member of the National Security Advisory Panel for Sandia National Laboratory, she is a member of the U.S. Department of Defense Science Board Task Force for Cyber Deterrence, and she is a Senior Advisor at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.  Melissa holds a B.A. degree from The American University in Washington, D.C. and has completed graduate studies in international economics and technology transfer policy.  She is also a graduate of the U.S. Armed Forces Staff College.  She publishes regularly on cybersecurity matters affecting companies and countries.
