JOANNA KULESZA

Assistant Professor of International Public Law at the University of Lodz - Poland

She is the author of five monographs and over fifty other peer-reviewed publications on various aspects of international law and new technologies, including „International Internet Law” (Routledge 2012) and „Due Diligence in International Law” (BRILL 2016, forthcoming). She is an expert on human rights online for the Council of Europe and the European Commission. Dr Kulesza is also the Membership Committee Chair of the Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet). She has been a visiting professor with the Oxford Internet Institute, Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law, Westfälische Wilhelms Universität Münster and Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. She was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, a scholar of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foundation for Polish Science. She worked for the European Parliament and for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her main research interests cover human rights, cybersecurity, and Internet governance.
