Joanna Świątkowska and Mirosław Maj among the members of the Advisory Group for Cybersecurity of the Republic of Poland

We have the great pleasure to announce that dr. Joanna Świątkowska – CYBERSEC Programme Director, Senior Research Fellow for Cybersecurity of the Kosciuszko Institute, and Mirosław Maj – Vice Chair of the CYBERSEC Organising Committee, Chairman of the Cybersecurity Foundation, have been chosen to be members of the Advisory Group for Cybersecurity of the Republic of Poland (Zespół do spraw bezpieczeństwa cyberprzestrzeni RP) created by the Head of the National Security Bureau.

The main task of the expert group will be, inter alia, to present and to evaluate the direction the state politics are headed in regards to the cybersecurity. The NSB, being a presidential analytical centre ensuring supradepartamental and in-depth approach to the subject of national security, wants to support and inspire leading institutions involved in the cybersecurity of the Republic of Poland. Recommendations suggested by the Group could be the ground for legal acts and strategic documents much like the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Poland approved by the President of the Republic of Poland.
