Karsten Geier is the Deputy to the Special Commissioner on Cyber Foreign Policy. He is also a member of the UN Group of Governmental Experts on Developments in the Field of Information and Telecommunications in the Context of International Security.

His most recent overseas assignment took him to New York, where he helped to set up the European Union Delegation, and subsequently worked at Germany’s Mission to the United Nations.
