Mr Dwyer is responsible for IBM’s Global Security Intelligence and Security Operations competency with 600 staff worldwide and more than 300 clients concentrated in the Financial Services, Utilities, Transportation, Consumer/Industrial products, government and defense industries.  Help companies around the world develop business driven Enterprise Security Strategies, implemented programs to establish and/or transform more than 100 Security Operations Centers (SOC’s), SOC Strategy, SOC Design, Implementation, Operation and Optimization.   IBM – Associate Practice Leader and service leader responsible for IBM’s Management Consulting and Strategy Practice in the Western United States. Experience also includes IT Strategic Planning, application development, global ERP system integration, infrastructure architecture, sourcing, solution architect, delivery leader. During 17 years of management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers played a key role in developing, selling and supporting PwC’s Global Strategy practice, Security Strategy, custom application development, ERP implementation and secure offshore support and development. PWC roles included project partner and client service partner for multiple top 50 accounts and served as Practice Leader in PwC’s ERP Practice with more than 30+ deals and engagements in process at any point and time. This included expanding PWC’s management consulting services and managed security service business operations to London, Eastern Europe and China.  In addition, created specialize BPO services to help manage franchise and dealer operations that leveraged the company’s strong foundation in delivering the managed security services. Extensive research and development in conjunction with IBM’s Research Lab and Watson research programs including advanced security analytical methods and techniques using both SIEM and big data analytical tools to identify, prevent and minimize business impact and financial loss due to cyber threats, cybercrime and cyber fraud.

Mr. Dwyer is an IBM inventor with multiple patents related to Security Operations Center (SOC) capacity modeling, SOC strategy design/implementation methods and operational control frameworks, SOC predictive analytical techniques, SOC Cognitive Analytical techniques and SOC deployment and optimization accelerators.

In the last 5 years, Mr. Dwyer has reviewed and or helped setup and optimize more than 350 security operations worldwide across nearly every industry including Banking, Insurance, Chemicals, Retail, Consumer and Industrial Products, Transportation, Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Aerospace Manufacturing, Automotive, Defense and Government. 

Responsible for IBM’s Security Intelligence and Security Operation Center Optimization thought leadership, management consulting training, service development, business development, process optimization, dashboards, performance reporting and cost effective delivery. Facilitated strategic planning sessions with cross-functional senior executives to analyze business problems, identify root causes, and recommend business solutions to a wide range of business challenges, technical programs, processes, organization and information systems supported by strong performance measures and fact based management: Diverse Industry Background – Banking, Insurance, Chemicals, Retail, Consumer and Industrial Products, Transportation, Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Aerospace Manufacturing, and Automotive
